I think, the Hukas Lalaw is celebrated 40 days after the burial date. I&#039;m not so sure about the exact number of days. I do know that important customs regarding death in the Philippines are observed on the 3rd day after the person&#039;s death, the 9th day after burial and the 40th day after burial. This is called Pa-Siyam.</description>
