Let the light pierce through the darkness Close all old accounts, turn a new leaf Re-learn that old lesson of friendship Kill nor be killed, settle for lessening Amidst us of this fossilized hatred

Perhaps that time has not come yet when our, Gods would listen to the beats in our hearts, peace and happiness spread their glow, perhaps we would have to force Mother Time?.
Letters to Juliet (2010) Movie Review

I consider myself to be a hopeless romantic and because for now I have no love life, I find a romantic comedy movie to watch and make me feel “in-love” through the characters of the story.
A few weeks ago I just knew about Amanda Seyfried, and when I read the wiki page about her, I discovered that she is playing the lead role in all of her movie. I became curious about her because she’s a huge star yet I haven’t heard any rumors about her like I would with all those other stars now. Because of the curiosity, it lead me to watching almost all of her movies and upon seeing the trailer of “Letters to Juliet” I know, I just have to add it on my TO WATCH list.
Yesterday, I got the chance to finally see the movie and I really liked it.
Juliet’s answer to Claire’s letter:
” Dear Claire,
“What” and “If” are two words as non threatening as words can be. But put them together, side-by-side and they have the power to haunt you for the rest of your life.
“What If?”
“What If?”
“What If?”
I don’t know how your story ended but if what you felt then was “true love”, then it’s never to late. If it were true then, why wouldn’t it be true now? You need only the courage to follow your heart. I don’t know what a love like Juliet’s feels like; a love to leave loved ones fore, a love to cross oceans for. But I’d like to believe if I ever were to feel it, that I’d have the courage to seize it. And Claire, if you didn’t, I hope one day that you will. All my love,
Juliet”
Thanks to the The Notebook, I didn’t have a hard time writing it word for word while listening to the movie.
No wonder Amanda Seyfried always gets the lead role in most of her movies, she’s a natural. I admire her simplicity as well.
Have I mentioned I liked the movie? The only down side for me is that sometimes, the sound / music doesn’t seem suitable for the scene. I think it is pretty much predictable, but yet it didn’t stop me from watching the movie, and I didn’t regret doing so.
Trailer vs Movie:
I guess there are a few scenes in the trailer that I haven’t seen on movie. One is the conversation between Sophie and her fiancee on the phone while her fiancee is in an auction, and the other one is when Charlie was driving and he was glancing at Sophie and they almost had an accident.
How I wish every love story is like that. If you are like me who loves happy ending, better watch that movie.
