Let the light pierce through the darkness Close all old accounts, turn a new leaf Re-learn that old lesson of friendship Kill nor be killed, settle for lessening Amidst us of this fossilized hatred

Perhaps that time has not come yet when our, Gods would listen to the beats in our hearts, peace and happiness spread their glow, perhaps we would have to force Mother Time?.
Red Ribbon Media Launch for December 2009
There are a lot of benefits of being a blogger. One of it is being invited to an event and be given a free item.
Last December 1, 2009; I was invited by Red Ribbon for the launching of their new products. Undeniably, I loved it even before the event started and much more when it happened. I was expecting so much, but they exceeded my expectations. I love Red Ribbon even more after that.
So, what happened?
Area Manager (SM City Iloilo), Borgz Galagar and Marketing Services Officer, Meyan Lim welcomed us with a smile on their faces. They introduced their mission, vision, values and the most exciting part their new products. Red Ribbon aims to be on the top by 2020 so they keep on adding products and improving their services.
First, we were given a sample of their Grilled Ensaimada with Farmer’s Ham.
Everything on that plate just tasted so good and really perfect for me, even just the simple scrambled eggs.
Next, Chocolate Walnut Fudge with Hershey’s Dark Chocolate and coffee.
We were informed that while other companies would use machines in making decors and cakes, Red Ribbon does it manually. So just imagine the rolls you could see at the side of the cake, is being rolled to perfection by a human hand.
A “tip” was given to us by Meyan, on how to drink coffee with cake: Don’t put a creamer or sugar on your coffee, drink it then scoop a cake and eat. While the cake is still in your mouth, take a sip of your coffee. Compare the taste of the coffee, before and after you had the cake. The coffee tasted better, with a mixture of the cake. Indeed a perfect combination!
With me on this launching is Kathy Villalon of The News Today, Roselyn Villamor of Yuhum News Magazine and a fellow blogger, Mawe of Mawe’s Adobo.
I mentioned above, that I love these events because of free things. So, aside from those free food we ate at the venue, we were given a box of Red Ribbon White Forest which my kids enjoyed. Just see how excited they were to eat the cake.
A Happy 27th Birthday
Yesterday, I turned 27. Since I think I am too old for cakes and those family gatherings, I planned to spend a night with my friends.
A lot of people greeted me during my day which made me happy.
It was a stressful but fruitful day.
During lunch time, I didn’t ate at all because I went to my cousins in different locations to get something that my Mom asked (alright – it was money … hehehe but not for me … as I said, my MOM asked). I also bought a cake for my team to eat (bulaklakin by dunkin doughnut).
After office hours, I attended a Mass for blessings. Then I went to meet my friends. I didn’t invite many people, because I really intend to have enough bonding time with my closest friends. Most of the people I invited couldn’t make it because they have work. So, the number was even smaller, it was just 4 of us who bonded.
First stop, we went to Dos Maria’s to eat a Pizza, because they have the biggest Pizza that I have ever seen. Their Pizza was good, but the chicken wings were better. It was just 4 of us, so even if we tried our best to eat the whole Pizza, we couldn’t. We just ate half of it and I took the half for take out.
L-R: Ann, Me, Yen, Mai @ Dos Marias with the biggest Pizza
My friend Ann wanted to have dessert, so we went to Smallville to satisfy our taste. After eating our Tiramisu and Ice cream. Mai who is a sister of my friend Yen, informed me that there is an Electronic Bingo machine that I could play with (She knows I love it). I was tempted and because it was my birthday, I tried my luck. I won Php 500. Bleeeh … I did have my Good Luck!
After my Bingo win, we went for a walk and have stopped at Bluejays to drink coffee. Then there we had some mind blowing chit chat.
The waiter informed us that they were closing, so we went back to my car for me to drove them to their houses. My friend Ann was shocked to see that my car clock showed it was 1:00 AM (she thought it was broken), but when I checked my mobile phone, it was indeed past 1 AM.
On the long road going home, I was alone that morning. I was scared of ghosts, so I prayed and prayed that no one will show to greet me. I arrived home safely and here I am now
BTW, my friends bought gifts for me … heheh YEHEY … THANK YOU!
Nescafe Palistuhan
I like the idea “Isang shot lang utak ay listo.” It means that for a shot your mind would be alert, or something like that. That’s what it says in the advertisement, watch:
Then I found out they have a website for this product: Palistuhan
So, I tried it because often times after lunch when I am soo full, I tend to be sleepy. I have 5 shots of the said product but no effect on my sleepiness.
I like the light taste, but doesn’t have the effect I wanted.
Next time, I will just make myself coffee here in the office.
For Php 10, I think it is too much. If it had the effect as it said in the advertisement, it would have been worth it.
