Let the light pierce through the darkness Close all old accounts, turn a new leaf Re-learn that old lesson of friendship Kill nor be killed, settle for lessening Amidst us of this fossilized hatred

Perhaps that time has not come yet when our, Gods would listen to the beats in our hearts, peace and happiness spread their glow, perhaps we would have to force Mother Time?.
Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist
I have to be honest, that I have watched this movie more than I should. Just come to think of it, I play this at least once a night since the first time I have seen it. My friend would say, it is like my coffee since it get’s me out of my sleepiness whenever I watch it.
The movie, was the first thing I discovered, because I often ask my friends for a recommendation of a “Romantic Comedy” films. This was one of the suggestions my friends had 2 weeks ago.
So, without any expectations or knowledge where this movie would bring me, I started watching it. After the movie ended, I can’t get enough of it, so I watched it all over again. I never get bored of doing so.
My Review on the actors:
Kat Dennings – I liked her because of this movie. I guess the character Norah fitted her perfectly.
Michael Cera – He also matches the personality of Nick though I would say, he could have done a better acting since there are scenes in the movie that just seems awkward for me.
The Friends – Well, those actors were great. The “gays” were really interesting and to add up, Caroline’s scenes were the scenes to watch in this movie.
After watching the movie, it got me to research more about it. On one of the Youtube video’s I have seen, there was a comment that says “The book is much better than the movie.” So, I get on my ways to acquire the so-called book and read it in one-sitting.
One thing I noticed with the book is that in almost every sentence they say, there would be an F word in it. That is kind of a turn off for me, but I kept on reading anyway.
I was expecting more of the book because I have already seen the movie. Though the story was great, it was far different than the movie.
All in all I guess I could say that the movie could have been better if they stick with what is on the book and the book could have been better if there’s not too much F-word in it.
Before I forget, the Trailer was better than the movie, because there are scenes in the trailer I like that wasn’t shown in the movie. Just like the “first kiss” and “we have the same dentist” scene. Watch the trailer:
Comparisons:
Trailer vs Movie
- First kiss is better on the trailer because Norah’s hands wrapped on Nick’s head gives it a more sexy feel in it. In the movie, it was like an awkward situation. I know they just met and it was kind-of a quicky thing, but the story in the book was all about “how magical” the first kiss was, so it should be a passionate kiss and not just a smack.
- TRAILER { Nick: We go to the same dentist, Norah: Yeah, he’s good. } MOVIE { Norah: We uh go to the same dentist, Dr. Man-o-man-witz. }
Movie vs Book
- The “orgasm” thing in the movie was “frigid” in the book.
- Tris was a bitch all the way in the movie, but in the book on the later part, you would see the good side of her and would make you think that she is not a bad girl.
